English Premier League To Return 17 June

The English Premier League is to return on 17 June, 2020, it has been announced.

The games to be played that day are Aston Villa v Sheffield United and Manchester City v Arsenal – subject to approval from the United Kingdom government.

Various punts have been opened up on these fixtures by the major sportsbooks, with, for example Paddy Power offering 11/4 on both Man City & Sheffield United to win that weekend.

There will be a full set of fixtures during the weekend of 19-21 June, with 92 games to play overall to finish the 19/20 Season.

As previously, announced the fixtures will take place behind closed doors. Various fixtures will be available free to air on UK platforms including Amazon Prime, Sky Sport, and BBC Sport.

Liverpool are currently 30 points clear at the top of the table, and could win the league with their first game if City lose their fixture.

Meanwhile, at the bottom of the league Bournemouth, Aston Villa and Norwich City currently occupy the relegation spots, and will be fighting to avoid the drop.
